essay projects

I am to write an essay on the contemporary situation of psychoanalytic film theory, and also to develop a lecture on this topic for the upcoming comference “Screen and Couch” to be held in Pécs, late this year. I will sketch the most important developments in film theory in terms of psychoanalytic thought, more precisely, how psychoanalytic film theory criticizes its own tenets and offers solutions for obvious and age-old problems within its framework.
