ABOUT

dzwebsmall.jpgMy name is Zoltán Dragon, I am currently teaching film theory, contemporary visual culture, digital theory and semiotics at the Department of American Studies, University of Szeged, Hungary. I seem to thrive in writing and publishing - print or online, does not matter, I can seem to stop at about a dozen essays published per year. I wrote a book, enjoyed it, so I am co-authoring another one. I am also founding editor of AMERICANA - E-Journal of American Studies in Hungary and founder & maintainer of the Hungarian Film Studies Herald (Filmtudományi Hírmondó).

I love blogging and all aspects of the web, from surfing to adding content to it - my enthusiasm brought to the web scene dragonline, my virtual web projects portfolio.

I drink a lot of red fruit tea, mineral water and coffee, a beer or a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon occasionally, eat absolutely high cocoa content dark chocolate, love PKD, Highsmith (yes, Tom Ripley rules!) and psychoanalysis.

Drop me a line or two via mygmail if you feel like it.
